Another exciting day in the grain markets! Soybeans seemed to run out of steam late yesterday, but they continued their trek today, closing just a penny off their high. A week ago, it felt like the story for beans was going to be over after the first 12mln ton deal was finished this month. Today a Chinese senior official said they will “deeply participate” in agriculture trade with the US. It's worth noting that when China made the commitment for the 12mln ton purchase late last year, there was no official confirmation or denial of a deal. Corn and wheat benefited from the excitement in the bean market and closed with impressive gains.
